Free WorkshopsFor Everyone: Domestic Violence 101 (single one hour session)This is our most popular workshop, and appropriate for groups, allied service providers, churches or organizations who want knowledge about domestic violence. For Instructors: Domestic Violence & Social Service Response (single session) Due to Spokane's proximity to several major colleges, we offer a workshop aimed at classes of BSW, MSW, Nursing, and related programs of study. This workshop moves beyond domestic violence dynamics, and highlights the current status of social service response, including efficacy of services and the complicated impact of domestic violence on related systems. For Healthcare: DV Dynamics, Best Practice & Emerging Trends In Patient Screening For IPV (single session) Includes other topics relevant to healthcare providers, including what supportive services exist, and HIPPA. For Movers & Shakers: Organizing Against Domestic Violence (three sessions) Participants will gain organizing, media, and messaging skills. |
