Give help.

You can make a difference in the lives of nearly 14,000 women and children who seek help from the YWCA of Spokane every year. Whether they are escaping the heartbreak of domestic violence, honing job skills to re-enter the workplace, or preparing themselves for financial and emotional independence, the YWCA is here, just as it has been since 1903.

Your gift to the YWCA of Spokane translates into real results and positive change in our community. Here are a few ways to give:

  • Donate online - Use our convenient and secure online web page to make your gift.

  • Donate by phone - Call 509-326-1190 to make a gift using your Visa or Mastercard credit card.

  • Donate by mail -  Gifts by check may be mailed to YWCA, 930 N. Monroe St., Spokane WA 99201.

  • Donate Securities  - A popular alternative to cash is a gift of publicly traded securities. Contact our Development Department for further information (509-789-9304)

  • Leave a Legacy - Gifts made through a will or planned giving continue a legacy of giving in the years to come.

  • Attend an event - The YWCA hosts two fundraising events throughout the year: Spring Fling, held at Anthony's Restaurant annually each April, and our Women of Achievement Luncheon, to be held November 2, 2011. Visit our Events Page for more information on these events.

  • Organize a "necessities" drive at work, church, school or in your neighborhood. Full size shampoo, conditioner, body soap, toothpaste and  personal hygiene items such as tampons, pads, and deodorant are always needed and appreciated.  Visit our wish list to see our current needs.

  • Donate professional clothing - Thinking about retiring some of your work clothes? Consider bringing them to Our Sisters Closet. This resource provides corporate clothes (at no charge) to women seeking employment.

  • Donate food - organize a food drive for the YWCA Confidential Safe Shelter, which houses up to 40 women and children and gives them a confidential safe haven while they utilize programs and services through the YWCA Alternatives to Domestic Violence Program. Contact our Community Resources Advocate at 789-9294 for more information.

  • Donate time - We love our volunteers! Spending a few hours a week or month or on a one-time basis is an inspirational and valuable way to help the YWCA. Share your expertise in resume writing, budget-making, cash management, interview tips, or event skills with us. Call us at 326-1190 to see how you can help.

Your gift may save the life of a woman and her children.
